In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Faisal al-Jubouri, the Fund has achieved significant progress in the rehabilitation of the 35.5 km round-trip road linking Bab al-Sham checkpoint and al-Kask junction. This is part of the Fund's ongoing field efforts aimed at improving road efficiency and raising the level of services. These figures represent the completion of the outbound lane and the laying of the final asphalt layer, along with the addition of a polymer to the bitumen to improve the asphalt mix's properties and resistance to heat and high loads. Work continues on the inbound lane according to the required specifications and measurements, and within the project's established timeframe. This project is considered vital and important in Nineveh Governorate due to its significant role in improving the road network and enhancing traffic flow. It also contributes to serving the residents of the governorate in general, and those in western Nineveh in particular, thus supporting development and reconstruction efforts in the governorate.

Meanwhile, the Fund's engineering and technical staff continue to monitor the implementation phases to ensure the work is completed according to the required specifications and established schedules, thereby achieving the desired objectives and serving the people of Nineveh Governorate.
