Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations Meets with the Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee
His Excellency the Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, met today with the Parliamentary Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee, in the presence of the Committee Chairman, Representative Laila Mahdi Al-Tamimi, and the Committee Vice Chairman, Representative Mohammed Al-Baldawi.
During the meeting, several important issues related to the Fund's plans and the mechanism for distributing financial allocations were discussed. They also addressed the nature of the Fund's work with regard to grants and loans, as it serves as a coordinating body between donor and lending agencies on the one hand, and beneficiary ministries on the other.
His Excellency explained that the mechanism for selecting and announcing projects, selecting implementing companies, and implementing projects is undertaken under the umbrella of the entity benefiting from the loan or grant, which also oversees the disbursement phases and supervises implementation within the framework of its relevant ministries. In the same context, the committee commended the Fund's efforts to rebuild affected areas and affirmed its commitment to communicating with the Ministries of Finance and Planning to overcome obstacles facing the inclusion and financing of projects, ensuring the inclusion of the largest possible number of service projects and achieving optimal utilization of the financial allocations sent to the Fund with the aim of enhancing relief and development efforts in affected areas.
