Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund,The Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations continues its work on the road rehabilitation project linking Bab al-Sham checkpoint and al-Kask junction in Nineveh Governorate.Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund,Engineer Saad Amin Faisal al-Jubouri, the engineering staff of the Nineveh branch are overseeing the project, which is 35.5 km long (round trip).Work is currently underway on the initial stage of the project, starting from point (0.00), in preparation for commencing the remaining work phases according to the specified technical specifications and timelines. This will contribute to increasing the road's efficiency and improving the flow of traffic. The engineering staff overseeing the project emphasized the importance of the resident engineer's office and the contracting company adhering to occupational safety procedures, including the installation of warning and directional signs along the work zones, to ensure the safety of workers and road users and prevent accidents and damage.

The road rehabilitation project linking the Bab al-Sham checkpoint and the al-Kask intersection is considered a vital project in Nineveh Governorate, as it represents a major transportation artery serving the residents of the governorate in general and western Nineveh in particular, in addition to its role in supporting economic activity and facilitating movement between areas.
