Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund,The Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations has completed the first phase of the street rehabilitation project between Al-Salam Al-Awal Neighborhood and the areas designated under Resolution 117 in Diyala Governorate.Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, the engineering and technical staff completed all the requirements that contribute to the success of the project. The project included the implementation of a stormwater drainage network with varying diameters (700, 600, 500, 400, and 315 mm), in addition to the construction of box culverts with a diameter of 2200 mm and manholes with varying diameters (2 m, 1.5 m, and 1.1 m) and their associated fittings.The work also included the implementation of a water network with varying diameters (225, 160, and 110 mm), along with comprehensive municipal works including excavation, backfilling, laying a compacted gravel layer, constructing sidewalks and curbs, and paving stones.
The work also included paving the streets with reinforced concrete using BRC layers, in addition to asphalt paving with a thickness of 6 cm, installing traffic signs and plastic speed bumps, and installing street lighting.This project is part of the Fund's plan to improve services and infrastructure and enhance the road network, thereby facilitating the movement of citizens and raising the urban standard of the area.
