The Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations continues work on the stone reinforcement project to address erosion on the left bank of the Euphrates River in Abu Ghraib District, Baghdad Governorate, under the supervision and on-site monitoring of the Fund's engineering and technical staff.Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, the Fund's staff intensified their efforts to resolve the challenges they faced during the work.The work is witnessing significant progress and advanced completion rates exceeding 90%. The project aims to protect the riverbanks from erosion and landslides caused by water changes and natural factors. This is crucial for preserving agricultural lands and public and private properties near the river, as well as enhancing the region's environmental and service stability.
The work includes stone cladding along the affected sections, along with leveling, preparation, backfilling, and compaction, in addition to securing the stones according to approved technical specifications to ensure the sustainability of the treatment and improve the river's protection.This project is part of the Fund's efforts to implement infrastructure projects and address environmental and service-related problems in various regions, contributing to stability and improving services for citizens.
