Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund,The Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations continues its work on the road rehabilitation project linking Bab al-Sham checkpoint and al-Kask junction in Nineveh Governorate.
Based on the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund, Engineer Saad Amin al-Jubouri, to follow up on the project, and under the supervision of the Resident Engineer's Office for the project, formed by the Nineveh Roads and Bridges Directorate, work continues on the rehabilitation project for the 35.5 km round-trip road linking Bab al-Sham checkpoint and al-Kask junction. The current work includes the implementation of scraping and sectional surveys to prepare for the gradual completion of the remaining project phases according to approved technical specifications and established timelines. This will contribute to increasing the road's efficiency and improving traffic flow.The resident engineer's office and the contracting company were also instructed to adhere to occupational safety guidelines and install warning and directional signs along the work route to ensure the safety of workers and road users and prevent any accidents or injuries.This project is considered vital and important in Nineveh Governorate due to its significant role in strengthening infrastructure and improving the road network. It also provides a direct service to the residents of the governorate in general, and western Nineveh in particular, thus supporting transportation, development, and reconstruction efforts in the governorate.
