In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Faisal Al-Jubouri, the Fund has completed the rehabilitation and expansion projects for the new Ajhala water treatment plant and the Martyr Ahmed Hassan water treatment plant in Qayyarah District, Nineveh Governorate. These projects will contribute to providing clean drinking water to the district and surrounding villages.
The projects included the installation and operation of 200 m³/hour water treatment units, consisting of sedimentation and collection basins, pressure filters, and a complete sterilization system. Additionally, high-pressure pumping units with a capacity of 200 m³/hour and a height of 90 meters were supplied, along with horizontal high-pressure pumping units and submersible pumps of various sizes and capacities from reputable international manufacturers. All necessary mechanical and electrical accessories were also provided to ensure the continuous supply of potable water to the area, serving a large segment of the community. The Reconstruction Fund is keen to implement vital and important projects aimed at achieving long-term developmental and economic goals, mainly focused on infrastructure sectors that contribute significantly to stability in liberated areas and help facilitate the return of displaced persons.
