In accordance with the directives of the Fund's Chairman, a media delegation from the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations conducted a field visit to the final stages of the demolition and reconstruction project of Al-Khansaa Teaching Hospital. The project is being implemented by the Fund as part of a grant from the Kuwait Fund for Development in Nineveh Governorate. This visit was based on the directives of the Fund's Chairman, Engineer Saad Amin Faisal Al-Jubouri. The delegation was accompanied on its tour by Engineer Amer from the Resident Engineer's Office at Al-Khansaa Maternity and Children's Hospital to provide a comprehensive overview of the final preparations for its opening, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Nineveh Governorate. The inspection tour included the building's corridors and entrances, rooms, and wards. The hospital will have a capacity of 400 beds, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 12 operating rooms equipped with the latest technologies. It also includes outpatient clinics, an emergency department, and a radiology department. The rehabilitation work also encompassed the construction of other service facilities. The facility includes a doctors' clinic, a restaurant, a laundry and drying room, and other administrative offices.

The media delegation commended the progress of the work and the high technical, engineering, and technological standards of the project, which will bring about a comprehensive transformation in healthcare and infrastructure, providing diagnostic services and medical care to patients, particularly women and children, and serving the health sector in Nineveh Governorate.

It is worth noting that the Reconstruction Fund is implementing a large package of vital and important projects in Nineveh Governorate across various sectors, including education, the Ministry of Interior, roads and bridges, in addition to health sector projects, which have reached (12) projects, including health centers, a hospital, and other projects.
