Engineer Saad Amin Faisal Al-Jubouri, Head of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, met with the Minister of Finance at the Ministry’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Sinjar, Poverty Alleviation, and Dhi Qar funds to discuss procedures regarding the outstanding dues of contractors and entities contracted with these funds.
During the meeting, the Head of the Reconstruction Fund presented a concise yet comprehensive overview of contractors' dues, completed work valuations, and payable advances. He also submitted relevant data, audit reports, and detailed schedules to facilitate the completion of the necessary procedures for disbursing the funds.
For his part, the Minister of Finance affirmed his readiness to disburse a portion of the dues as an urgent payment—subject to available liquidity—thereby helping to address some of the outstanding financial obligations owed to contractors.
This meeting is part of the Reconstruction Fund's ongoing efforts to follow up on the issue of contractors' dues and to collaborate with relevant financial authorities in finding appropriate solutions that ensure the smooth flow of financial procedures and the continued implementation of projects in affected areas.
