In line with the directives of the Head of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Faisal Al-Jubouri, work is progressing steadily on the project to rehabilitate road surfaces, construct a rainwater drainage network, and develop infrastructure in the Zaitiya area—located in the Al-Wahda sub-district of Al-Mada'in District, Baghdad Governorate. These efforts aim to improve local services and enhance the efficiency of the area's infrastructure. The project includes the installation of a rainwater drainage network, the placement of curbs, the construction and paving of sidewalks with interlocking concrete pavers (paving stones), the laying of a 315 mm diameter pipeline spanning 5 kilometers, the installation of lighting systems, and the asphalt paving of roads totaling 5 kilometers in length.
These initiatives are part of broader efforts to elevate the standard of services provided to citizens, improve traffic flow, address rainwater accumulation, and give the area a cohesive, modern urban appearance. Work remains ongoing to meet planned completion targets and ensure the project is delivered in accordance with established technical specifications.
