His Excellency the Chairman of the Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, Engineer Saad Amin Al-Jubouri, met with a delegation from the General Authority for Monitoring the Allocation of Federal Revenues, affiliated with the Council of Ministers, today at the Fund's headquarters. The meeting was attended by the Director of the World Bank Loan Management Team at the Fund and the Director of the Contracts Department, Engineer Mohammed Qasim. The delegation consisted of Mr. Zaid Khalil, Director General of the Technical Affairs and Follow-up Department; Ms. Raghad Saleh, Director of the Revenues Department; and Ms. Zahraa Abdul Hussein, Head of the International Grants and Loans Division.
His Excellency discussed the financial data received from donor and lending agencies to ministries and the distribution mechanism to beneficiaries. His Excellency explained that agreements concluded between the Ministry of Finance and the donor or lending agency are direct, and the Fund's role is coordination.
His Excellency explained that the Fund's role is to monitor project implementation until completion.
His Excellency pointed out the need for joint cooperation with the delegation to ensure the completion of projects funded by organizations and to maintain revenues in accordance with approved standards and instructions.
The delegation extended an invitation to His Excellency the Chairman of the Fund to visit the Authority's headquarters to discuss the coordination mechanism.
